It’s been over three years in the writing and production, much longer than I had anticipated. But, as I describe in its pages, the book is the culmination of >50 years of experience, study and research. So perhaps three years isn’t so bad…

I’m looking forward to receiving my pre-ordered copy. Over 50 years of experience, that makes you sound very old, but I just realised that I too was probably wielding my granddad’s binoculars (I still use them) around the age of 5-6… Never too young (or too old) to be a naturalist!
